New Single: Bartender of the year

It's a total thing

Make Mine Yours released their debut full length, Sunshock, on February 23, 2020. The Bakersfield Californian described the record as "mid-1990s Built to Spill-ish Pacific Northwest post-grunge” and “where the heck did that come from?!' band-in-a-can, Neil-Young-and-David-Byrne-meets-Beck . . . catchy weirdness." Emile Antonell, in his Bakersfield Sounds: The Listening Party podcast, also compared “Let Me In” to the Talking Heads, though Indie Midlands called "I'm Going Home" "nostalgic '90s indie rock."

Within the broad idiom of rock, Make Mine yours moves through different genres and alludes to their personal and creative histories by employing diverse arrangements and applying conceptual frameworks to their compositions. Through traditional rock rhythms, the music presents an honest vulnerability adorned by synths, horns, harmony, noise, and sparkle.

Killer Kern Records released You Are King Sunshine in 2021.

Make Mine Yours makes its home in Bakersfield California, which continues to foster a rich local music scene made up of passionate and diverse artists.
